Property is becoming less important. For example, shared bicycles and shared cars are increasingly becoming the norm. In addition, citizens in Region 4.0 are becoming producers as well as consumers as a result of economic (recession and lower paid labor) and technological developments (3-D printing, decentralized energy and food production). The increasing importance of sustainability also influences future housing. As a result, various new initiatives are being developed to reinvent living: more together, more sustainable and also with more economic possibilities.
